Sample Kits and 'Book a Meth Test' Selection

After submitting the Book a Meth Test form, you may want to estimate the cost and how many samples are required: count the number of rooms in the property.

 

Include kitchen, laundry, lounges, hallway, bedrooms, bathrooms, separate toilets, internal and external garages and any detached-buildings.

 

Baseline Screening Assessment

11–20 samples (2 Composite Groups) – 4 to 5 bedroom home (Up to 20 areas)

 

 

Normal (3-5 working days) – $320 + GST

 

Urgent (2 working days) – $390 + GST

 

10 samples (1 Composite Group) – 1 to 3 bedroom home (Up to 10 areas)

 

 

Normal (3-5 working days) – $250 + GST

 

Urgent (2 working days) – $320 + GST

 

Greater than 20 samples (Home with 6 or more bedrooms) – We will contact you to discuss.

 

If there are separate dwellings on site such as a garage, sleep-out, or sheds that you would like to be sampled separately, please make a note of this in the Book a Meth Test registration and allow for an additional kit or kits when booking.

 

Discrete Area by Area Sampling – Lab Composite Screening Assessment

Pricing starts from $350 + GST. 

 

If individual sample results are required, a second stage of Laboratory Processing is available at $102 + GST per sample.

 

Please note: Even though individual results can be obtained, this service does not meet the definition of a Detailed Assessment under NZS8510:2017. Completion of a Detailed assessment is a requirement of the Residential Tenancies (Managing Methamphetamine Contamination) Regulations 2026 if a determination of contamination is to be made.
